About Us

For over three decades Kadinsky has proven to be much more then just a coffeeshop, it has become a statement in Amsterdam. All of the coffeeshops and the bar are located in the city centre of Amsterdam within walking distance from Central Station and Dam Square.

Our history

We started business in 1986 in the Rosmarijnsteeg with the first Kadinsky coffeeshop, which was named after the Russian painter and theorist Wassily Kandinsky. Soon after we opened the second one in 1987 in the Zoutsteeg, which initially was called FrontPage followed by the CumLaude in the Langebrugstreeg in 1992. After a survey amongst our customers we decided to give them all the mutual name Kadinsky in 2002.

At Kadinsky we pride ourselves on the wide range of artwork that is displayed in our shops. You can find an amazing selection of impressive art by renowned iconic artists such as Andy Warhol and Herman Brood. Make sure to take a glance at all of the beautiful pieces that surround you when you visit us.
